My name is Xavier Charlier, I come from Waremme in Liège, Belgium.
I first got into poker 5 years ago and since playing my very first hands, I had a strange feeling that this game was completely suited to my temperament. Meaning observation, self-control, courage, patience, statistical and behavioural analysis, being able to come back after a bad hand - all of these are qualities which I try to improve and which are, as you know, indispensable for poker.
My feeling was right, as during my first major tournament (2007 Belgian Championship), I came 3rd out of 800 with winnings of 100,000 EUR. A month later I won a tournament, the first prize of which was a package for the 2008 WSOP. A good start to my career.
Next, I managed to get to my 2nd final table in the Belgian Championship where I finished 5th.
My first victory in an international tournament came in 2010 at the Euregio Poker Challenge in Valkenburg.
These results, along with others, mean that I've managed to keep my place in the Belgian top 10 for more than 4 years now.
I am touched by the confidence Poker770 have shown in me and I hope to get even better results under their colours with the Belgian Pro Team770. With encouragement from each other we can go so much further.
See you soon in the live tournaments and at the Poker770 tables.
